  • The competition is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over except employees of Habitat UK Limited or its group companies, agencies or anyone professionally connected with the competition.
  • There is no limit to the number of entries per person; however each entry must meet competition rules.
  • The panel of judges will be looking for a photo which (amongst other things) reflects the entrant's home, individuality and style.
  • Those entries which conform to the competition rules will be featured on the online gallery until 31st January 2010. During this period visitors to the website will be able to score each entry. At the end of the scoring period the photos with the highest rating from each store will be included in the shortlist along with any other photos that Habitat chooses to shortlist.
  • The panel of judges will be made up of both Habitat personnel and independent assessors who will select the winner and the 34 runners-up.
  • The prize consists of: a photoshoot in Central London with lunch provided; standard class return train tickets for the winner and a friend to London, 2 night accommodation in a central London 5* hotel in a twin or double room; transport to and from the photoshoot, from the hotel plus £200 spending money to cover other travel and meals and a £1,000 Habitat gift card.
  • The copyright, usage rights and any related intellectual property rights in all images from the photoshoot will belong to Habitat and may be used by Habitat in or for any further promotional purposes.
  • The photoshoot will take place on a weekday in April 2010 to be agreed with the winner. If for any reason the winner cannot make any dates within this period Habitat reserves the right to award the prize to another short listed entry.
  • 34 runners up (one per store) will each receive a £100 Habitat gift card and will be notified by email.
  • No purchase necessary. No cash alternative. Habitat reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value should circumstances make this necessary.
  • Competition closing date is Sunday 31st January 2010 and Habitat UK Ltd accepts no liability for entries received after 5pm on this date. The prize winner will be notified by email by Friday 26th February 2010.
  • The results of the competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • After Friday 26th February 2010, the winner's details will be available for six weeks only by sending a stamped address envelope to "this is my habitat" Competition Winner, Marketing, Habitat UK Ltd, 42-46 Princelet Street, London E1 5LP. We want you to feel totally at home, but in order to enjoy your stay we ask that you abide by a few simple house rules when uploading your photos. If you submit an image in breach of these rules or our Terms and Conditions we'll have to remove it from the site.

• Obscene, indecent or offensive images are not welcome

• Your image must be entirely your own work
